It started because one island needed a front page.
today.je pulls together the news for Jersey, in the Channel Islands. Government notices, the local papers, the parishes, the airport, the met office, business and charity announcements. Around three hundred sources, on one page, updating all day.
It works because of some unglamorous engineering: feeds fetched on staggered schedules so they never bunch, bespoke scrapers for the eighty or so sites that publish no feed at all, and a permanent archive that has never had anything deleted from it.
The thing it never had was a second customer. People kept asking for a today.je for their own town, their own trade, their own committee, and the honest answer was that it would mean building the whole thing again from scratch.
MyNewsFeed is that answer, made general. The same engine, with the parts that were specific to Jersey lifted out and handed to you instead.
Who builds it
Blue Flame Digital Solutions Limited, registered in Jersey. A small operation that has been running web infrastructure for a long time and prefers software that keeps working when nobody is watching it.
How we think about your readers
No advertising on pages we host. No third-party trackers arriving with an ad network. Every item links out and credits its source. We would rather the arrangement stayed one that publishers are happy with.

Questions are answered by a person
There is no support tier, no ticket deflection and no chatbot. If you write to us about a broken scraper, the person who reads it is the person who can fix it.
