# MyNewsFeed

> MyNewsFeed turns any set of RSS feeds, APIs and scrapeable web pages into a live, self-updating front page on a domain you own. Not a reader, a publisher.

Built by Blue Flame Digital Solutions Limited, Jersey. It began as today.je, the news front page for the island of Jersey, and was generalised into a product.

## What it does

- Adds sources by URL, using feed autodiscovery, platform detection, or a point-and-click scraper builder for sites with no feed
- Groups feeds into pages. A page is a named collection of feeds; the same feed can appear on as many pages as it belongs on
- Renders pages through templates, which are editable Twig skins reusable across pages
- Publishes to a subdomain or a custom domain, cached at the edge and updated in real time
- Outputs each page as a web page, RSS, Atom, JSON Feed, an email digest, an embeddable widget, webhooks and a read API

## Content policy

MyNewsFeed stores the title, link, timestamp and source name of each item. It does not store any excerpt of the publisher's prose. Summaries shown beneath headlines are generated by MyNewsFeed rather than copied from the article. Every item links out and credits its source.
